RMIH
I4C was appointed to work with us on our office installation in The Bank building in Rosebank. From the first meeting with the team, we knew that the fit was right. As a small team, we didn’t have the luxury of committing significant amounts of time to the project. We appreciated 14C’s way of work that was professional, well organized, creative, and committed.
They took the time to understand our specific requirements, individual styles, and way of work and conceptualised a beautiful, modern, and yet timeless workspace for our business. Each member of the I4C team had a specific role which was clear and they all were immensely patient and indulgent of our more quirky requests. The 14C team worked well as a cohesive unit and partnered us through the whole process forming personal relationships along the way.
We would strongly recommend the team to anyone looking for a fresh, personal and professional approach to your office design

Reception
A welcoming reception area was designed which is the central hub to the company. The custom-designed screen behind the reception counter was added incorporating RMIH’s kaleido logo and open vertical slats to keep the view to the waiting area open and light. As RMIH supports local artists and commissions two pieces yearly, it was important to create a space that features these artists’ work.

Boardroom
Boardroom
A bespoke boardroom table was designed for this facility to accommodate technology and larger meetings. The slatted ceiling detail in the same timber as the board-room table brings warmth and interest to the space with the pendant light fittings suspended over the length of the table. Various soft seating settings with laptop tables were created to the sides of the boardroom to accommodate additional people.
Meeting rooms
Meeting rooms
RMIH required various sized meeting facilities with technology to support virtual and in-house meetings. Each meeting room had its own style by using artwork and different pendant light fittings.

The main feature of this 12th-floor installation was the views over Johannesburg, these views were further enhanced by installing folding stacking doors leading to the outdoor patio area. An indoor-outdoor feel was created by the ceiling being covered in a combination of faux foliage, timber circular detail and natural woven lamp- shades. A server area was incorporated into the canteen to allow for servicing of the boardroom, functions, staff lunches, informal meetings and additional ad hoc work areas. Due to the lack of wall space for artwork we introduced cafe chairs sourced from local designers in South Africa.
