Ford Foundation

I4c was appointed in April 2012. Ford Foundation moved in August 2013 from Braamfontien to Rosebank.

Ford Foundation needed to move into a building and area that was more in line with the Ford Foundations Image. Rosebank was the perfect location as it was close to all amenities that were particularly important for their guest from out of South Africa.

Corporate branding was also important and the location facilitated this.

Ford Foundation selected a Classic Contemporary building developed by Barrow Construction.

I4c project team would report directly to the Facilities team in New York but had a local architectural team KMH who had a watching brief.  We worked closely with the Vice President of the Ford Foundation on the décor and art content and were privileged to have this experience.

Meeting rooms needed to be flexible for all the external functions and many different combinations to be provided for seating.

The I4c project team featured the following individuals:

  • Catherine Groves – Project Manager
  • Christelle Poppmeier – Space Planner
  • Yolandie Van der Vyver – Décor Consultant
  • Jaco Visagie – Furniture Specialist
  • Nuno Do Santos – Site Manager
